Great Software is an independent software studio, and we exist to bring genuinely great software into the world. The kind that works in real life, earns trust, and quietly makes something better for the people who use it.
We take on a deliberately wide range of work. Some of it is our own products. Some is built hand in hand with clients. And some is research that never ships but sharpens everything that comes after. The common thread isn't a single market or a single product. It's range, and the craft to do each kind of work well.
For the founders and teams we work with, that shows up as a partner who cares about the details people feel, ships work that holds up under real load, and stands behind everything we build.
Who's behind it
Great Software is led by Gunnar Gabrielson, an engineer whose range runs from pixel-level frontend to the backend systems underneath. He cares as much about how software feels as how it holds up.
His instinct is to take a big, vague idea, find its core, and turn it into something solid and genuinely useful, guided by a simple belief: the best software connects people, not just systems.
Away from the keyboard, he's usually with family, on a mountain bike trail, or in a local coffee shop.
